Science for Grades 1–6 is an interactive one-on-one online science program designed to nurture curiosity and confidence in young learners. Through personalized lessons and engaging visuals, students explore life science, earth science, and basic physics concepts. The individualized approach ensures lessons are paced to each child’s level, making science fun, clear, and meaningful in a supportive virtual environment.
About program
The class is conducted in a supportive, one-on-one online setting where students feel comfortable asking questions and expressing ideas. The virtual classroom is interactive and student-centered, using visuals, short videos, and real-life examples to maintain engagement. Lessons are paced according to the learner’s grade level, interests, and understanding, creating a positive and encouraging environment that promotes curiosity and confidence.
The program follows an inquiry-based and experiential approach. Each lesson begins with guiding questions to activate prior knowledge, followed by clear explanations and interactive discussions. Simple experiments and demonstrations—often using household materials—help students connect concepts to real-world situations. Ongoing checks for understanding, guided practice, and short review activities ensure concepts are well understood. Instruction is flexible and adaptive, allowing the teacher to adjust strategies based on the student’s responses and progress.
The primary goal is to build a strong foundation in life science, earth science, and basic physics. Students develop scientific thinking skills such as observing, predicting, comparing, and drawing conclusions. The program also aims to improve problem-solving, communication, and curiosity about the natural world. By the end of the course, students are expected to understand key science concepts appropriate to their grade level and confidently explain ideas using simple scientific language.

About
Hello, everyone! I’m Teacher Janet, a licensed and passionate educator with over eight years of experience teaching English as a Second Language to Korean, Chinese and American students. I’ve had the pleasure of working with students ranging from young children just starting their English journey to professionals aiming to improve their communication skills for global opportunities.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education with a major in English. Over the years, I’ve built a solid foundation in effective teaching strategies and developed lessons and materials tailored to the needs, goals, and interests of my students. My classes are interactive, engaging, and fun, encouraging students to express themselves and continuously improve their English skills.
In addition to teaching, I’ve spent the last three years working as a Virtual Assistant, providing professional support to Australian e-commerce and photography clients. This experience has sharpened my communication, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills—abilities that I bring into my teaching and classroom management.
What truly drives me is my love for sharing knowledge and learning from my students. I find joy in connecting with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures, believing that every interaction is an opportunity for growth.
